How much does mold testing cost on the South Shore?
Samples you collect yourself: $50 per sample, with results typically in 24–48 hours. At-home assessment: $500. Our specialist comes to you, at your home or building, so you don't have to go anywhere. You choose one package: air microscopy (spore traps, compared with an outdoor reference and analyzed in our Laval lab) or air chemistry (VOC, formaldehyde, CO₂, air humidity, fine particles and surface moisture readings). Want both? Add the second package for $250 ($750 total). Air-chemistry readings are screening-grade measurements, not laboratory chemical analysis. We serve Montréal, Laval, the North Shore and the South Shore.
Do you come to homes in Longueuil, Brossard or Boucherville?
Yes. The at-home assessment is available on the South Shore: our specialist comes to you, takes indoor air samples and an outdoor reference, and the samples are analyzed in our Laval lab. Prefer to sample yourself? Mail the sample to us from anywhere in Québec.
How fast are results?
Typically 24–48 hours after the sample arrives at our Laval lab. Every sample is analyzed in-house, nothing is sent to a third-party lab.
Can I just drop off a sample in Laval?
Yes. Our drop-off box at 3780 boulevard de la Concorde Est is open 24/7. Label the sample with your name, address and sampling location. Phone and customer service run every day, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Do you also remove mold?
No. DétectAir only tests, so our results carry no conflict of interest. If remediation is warranted, the report says so; if it is not, it says that too.
Is the report in English or French?
Your choice: each report is written in one language, with identified and annotated micrographs from your own sample.
